Mezzi on Mobile vs. Web: What's Different?

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Overview

Mezzi's mobile app and web app are the same product on the same account and the same underlying data — anything you connect, add or change in one appears in the other. What differs is layout and, in a few places, which figures are surfaced: the two navigate differently, and a small number of totals currently appear on mobile but not on web. Those gaps are known, and they're being closed.

📌 What You Need to Know

What's identical

  • Your account and your data. One login, one set of connections, one net worth. There's no separate web account and nothing to sync between them.

  • Connecting and managing accounts. You can connect, repair, refresh and delete connections in either place.

  • Manual assets. Real estate, vehicles and liabilities can be added and edited from either.

  • Mezzi AI. Chat, insights and model selection work in both.

  • Everything you'd analyze. Net worth, holdings, allocation, concentration, performance, transactions and Exposure X-ray are all available on both.

What's different by design

  • Navigation. The web app uses a left navigation rail, with notifications and your profile in a top utility bar. The mobile app uses bottom tabs. Same destinations, different furniture — so a walkthrough written for one may name a different place to tap.

  • Screen density. Web shows more at once; mobile groups the same information into more screens. That's the main reason a page can feel like it's "missing" something on one platform when it's really one level deeper on the other.

  • Push notifications. Real-time push alerts arrive on mobile. On web you'll see notifications in the utility bar rather than as device notifications.

What's a known gap

We'd rather say this plainly than have you go looking for a setting that isn't there.

High CPU usage in Chrome. Some users see the browser fan spin up or a laptop run hot with the Mezzi web app open. It's a known issue on our list. If it's bothering you, closing the tab when you're not using it is the practical answer for now; the mobile app isn't affected.

Important Notes

If a number genuinely differs between the two — not a figure that's absent on one, but the same figure showing two different values — that's worth reporting. Send us a screenshot from each platform with the timestamps visible. Most reported discrepancies turn out to be one platform showing an aggregate the other doesn't, or a page that hadn't refreshed, but the real ones are found this way.

There is no separate desktop application to install. The web app runs in a browser at app.mezzi.com; the mobile app is the native iOS app.

🗨 Still Need Help?

Email help@mezzi.com or text or call (415) 763-6997. If you're reporting a difference between platforms, include:

  • A screenshot from each platform showing the same screen

  • The figure or label you expected to see and where you expected it

  • Which browser you're using on web

Common Questions

  • Is the Mezzi web app the same as the mobile app? Yes — same account, same data, same features. Navigation and layout differ, and a few totals currently surface on mobile before web.

  • Why does the app show a number the browser doesn't? Most often it's the All Accounts total, which mobile shows in the account picker and web's navigation rail doesn't yet display. The underlying values match; only the aggregate's placement differs. A fix is in review.

  • Do I need to connect my accounts twice? No. Connections belong to your account, not to a device. Connect once and both platforms see it.

  • Why is the Mezzi web app using so much CPU in Chrome? It's a known issue we're working on. Closing the tab when you're not using it is the current workaround, and the mobile app isn't affected.
