Can I Connect Wells Fargo Advisors, Trust Accounts, and Other Brokerage Accounts to Mezzi?
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Yes. Wells Fargo Advisors accounts connect through your Wells Fargo login using Plaid, our data aggregator, and Mezzi has other aggregators as a backup if a connection has trouble. Once you authorize the connection, the accounts you can see under that login come through, including trust accounts. Mezzi is read-only, so it cannot trade or move money.
What comes through
Individual securities, share quantities and cost basis come from Wells Fargo.
Lot-level purchase dates depend on what Wells Fargo shares. If any are missing, you can upload a statement in a chat with Advisor.
If an account does not come through, you can upload its statement and Mezzi will add it.
How often accounts refresh
Connected accounts refresh automatically every 12 to 24 hours, depending on the institution, and you can refresh manually once an hour. If a connection breaks, the account shows a Repair prompt.
Taxable vs. tax-advantaged accounts, and trusts
Each account is marked Taxable or Tax-advantaged, and you can change it. There is no separate trust category. If you are the trustee of a trust such as a special needs trust, add those details in Financial Profile › AI personalization (Financial Profile is the last tab in the iOS bottom bar, and in the web left menu it sits just above Settings) and Mezzi will factor them into its analysis. You can also upload the trust documents in a chat with Advisor so Mezzi works from the trust's actual terms. Mezzi does not give legal advice, so confirm trust-specific rules with your attorney.
What you can ask Mezzi once connected
Estimated federal and state capital gains tax, and the after-tax result of different transactions.
Buy, sell or hold recommendations for each account, with qualitative and quantitative reasoning. For specific figures such as revenue, growth rates, profit or dividends, just ask.
Recurring reviews on a schedule you set. For example: "Every quarter, review my allocation and propose a rebalance."
RMD and QCD planning, including which holdings suit an in-kind distribution.
Personal rules, such as holding each stock in only one account. Save the rule in AI personalization and Mezzi applies it to future recommendations.
Scheduled reviews use Delegations. See the Delegations release note and the plan limits in Mezzi Membership Plans.
