Mezzi AI Says "Lots of Traffic" or "Something Went Wrong"

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Overview

These messages mean Mezzi AI couldn't finish an answer, usually because an AI provider was briefly overloaded. Your account and data aren't affected. Wait a minute and send your question again. If you were asking a follow-up inside a notification, ask it in a new chat instead.

⚠ What You May See

  • "Lots of traffic on this road. Switch models and you'll be back in business."

  • "Something went wrong. Please try again."

  • An answer that never arrives after you ask a follow-up on a notification

⚙ How to Fix It

  1. Wait a minute, then send the same question again.

  2. If it fails again, refresh the page on web, or close and reopen the Mezzi app.

  3. If you were replying inside a notification, start a new chat and ask the question there.

  4. If it keeps happening, contact us (details below).

💡 Why This Happens

Mezzi AI relies on outside AI providers. When one is under heavy demand, a request can fail. Mezzi now automatically retries on a second provider when that happens, so these messages should be rare. The "Switch models" suggestion usually won't help, because the retry already happens behind the scenes. Sending the question again is the better move.

Follow-up questions asked from inside a notification can sometimes stall. This is a known issue we're working on, and asking in a new chat avoids it.
