Why Does My Crypto or Private-Investment Account Show Only Cash or $0?
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Overview
Some crypto and private-investment platforms share only part of your account with Mezzi. Strike shares your US dollar cash but not your bitcoin, Kraken doesn't share balances held in Kraken Earn, and AngelList connections currently come through without holdings. Reconnecting won't bring the missing part in. Add those holdings manually to see your full balance.
📌 What You Need to Know
Platform | What Mezzi receives | What's missing |
|---|---|---|
Strike | Your USD cash balance | Bitcoin |
Kraken | Your standard balances | Anything held in Kraken Earn |
AngelList | The connection succeeds, but no holdings come through | Your investments. We're looking into this with our data provider. |
How to Add the Missing Holdings
Keep the connected account. It keeps what it does receive, such as cash, up to date.
Go to Profile → Accounts, tap Connect a new account, and choose Brokerage or bank → Add manually.
For crypto, search the coin's ticker (for example, BTC or ETH) and enter how many coins you hold. Mezzi updates the value with market prices.
For private investments, such as venture funds, enter the investment with its current value. See how to manually add an account.
Important Notes
Enter only what's missing from the connected account. Adding the full balance again would count the cash twice.
Manually entered quantities don't sync. When you buy, sell or earn rewards, update the holding.
Private investments without a market price keep the value you enter until you change it.
