How to Connect Your Fidelity Account to Mezzi
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Overview
From the Net Worth page, hover over Net Worth in the left navigation, click the + that appears, choose Brokerage or Bank, then Brokerage Link, and search for "Fidelity" — Mezzi will show more than one Fidelity result, and picking the wrong one is the most common reason a Fidelity connection doesn't pull in holdings correctly. Fidelity connects through Mezzi's SnapTrade integration rather than Plaid, which is why the setup looks a little different from connecting a bank account.
🧭 How to Connect Fidelity
Go to the Net Worth page.
Hover over Net Worth in the left navigation — a + icon appears.
Click the + to add an account.
Select Brokerage or Bank.
Select Brokerage Link.
Search for "Fidelity".
You'll likely see more than one Fidelity entry. Choose the one that matches the Fidelity site you normally log into — for example, the standard Fidelity brokerage login is a different entry than Fidelity NetBenefits (used for employer retirement plans).
Log in with your Fidelity credentials when prompted. Mezzi does not store your Fidelity password — the connection is handled through Fidelity's own secure login.
Approve the accounts you want Mezzi to see, then wait for the initial sync to finish.
💡 Why This Matters
Fidelity isn't connected through Plaid. Mezzi routes most institutions through Plaid by default, but Fidelity is one of a handful of exceptions that connect through SnapTrade, one of Mezzi's other data aggregators. This is a deliberate, permanent routing choice for Fidelity — not a setting you turn on — so you won't see a provider picker anywhere in the flow. That's also why searching "Fidelity" can surface what looks like several near-duplicate entries: each one corresponds to a different Fidelity product (brokerage, NetBenefits, Fidelity Go, etc.), and only one will match your actual login.
If your first attempt doesn't pull in the right accounts, don't reconnect the same entry repeatedly — instead, remove it and try the other Fidelity entry in search results. Support sees this resolve most "my Fidelity account won't import correctly" reports.
Important Notes
If your Fidelity accounts sync but some holdings look wrong — cash showing as a security, duplicate values, or holdings missing entirely — that's a data-accuracy issue, not a failed connection. See Troubleshooting Fidelity Connections.
If Fidelity itself is down for maintenance, Mezzi will surface a connection error even though nothing is wrong on Mezzi's end. Wait and try again before troubleshooting further.
