How to Add Notes to a Property or Manually Added Asset in Mezzi

Overview

You can add a note to any property or asset you added manually. Go to Profile > Accounts (assets & liabilities), tap the three dots (⋯) next to the property or asset, choose Edit, type in the Notes field, and tap Save. Mezzi AI reads your notes when it answers questions, but notes don't change any values or your net worth.

🧭 How to Add a Note

Go to your Profile page.
Select Accounts (assets & liabilities).
Find the property or asset you want to add a note to.
Tap the three dots (⋯) next to it and select Edit.
Type your note in the Notes field.
Tap Save.

You can also add a note when you first add a property. The Notes field is part of the add flow.

💡 Why This Matters

Tell Mezzi AI which mortgage goes with which home

If your mortgage is connected through your bank and you added the property yourself, Mezzi can't link the two. Add a short note on the property instead, for example: "Mortgage is the Chase loan ending 1234." Mezzi AI reads it, and the note keeps working even if you reconnect your bank later.

Don't add the mortgage again in the property flow if it's already connected. That would count it twice in your net worth.

Describe how you use the property

Notes like "Rental property, rented since 2024" or "Vacation home" give Mezzi AI context it can't get from the value alone, so its answers about your real estate are more specific.

Important Notes

Notes don't change your numbers. Mezzi doesn't use what you write in Notes to calculate values or net worth. For example, writing "I own 50%" won't change the value Mezzi counts.
If you own only part of a property, update the Current value and Purchase price on the same Edit screen to your share. Do the same for any mortgage on it, so your net worth includes only your portion.
